The Franschoek Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine has a subtle nose with complex bouquet of red currant, dark cherries and blueberry. The wine has a medium-bodied palate with flavors of fresh fig and nutmeg. The mid-palate is focused, silky and poised with a charcoal-edged texture and very fine-grained tannins. The wine lingers with hints of clove, crushed gravel and cocoa powder on a mineral-tinged, pure finish. The bottle size is 750ml.
Boekenhoutskloof Franschhoek Cabernet Sauvignon is medium-bodied, structured, focused and balanced, with attractive, refreshing acidity. Black fruit, aniseed, cloves, pipe tobacco and cardamon, linger on the finish with hints of graphite.
